}}The '''Civilian Corps''' represents those members of the diplomatic corps, the Special Intelligence Service, RMMM, RMACS and SFC, and is a branch option for members of TRMN. Led by the Home Secretary, a Royal Council member, the Civilian Corps is officially Manticoran in structure, though represents civilians from all nations. Civilian members are spread across ships and fleets throughout the service. Although independent bodies, they also work closely with both Houses of Parliament.

The Civilian Corps also has an honor society that inducts members each year for services to the Civilian life, this society is called the [[Privy Council]] after the traditional body found in many parliamentary systems.

Gregor Control (ATC-06) is Sixth Fleet's RMACS control station. Commanded by [[CDRE]] Aaron Clark, Trevor's Star Control claims Little Rock, Arkansas as her charter city.

==History==
Gregor Control was commissioned on 19 Sept 2019 under the command of then-CAPT Clark by order of BuShips. ATC-06 was the second RMACS station to be commissioned.

1. For purposes of this Admiralty Order, the branches within TRMN are: RMN, RMMC, RMA, GSN, RHN, IAN, Uniformed Civilian Service (SFS, RMMM, & RMAC), and Civil Service (Diplomatic Corps, Intelligence Corps, & Parliament), and General Civilian (Peerage Land Staff, & unaffiliated Civilians).

2. When a member from one branch is given an award from another branch, that award may be worn on the uniform of the member as a foreign award.

3. If a member transfers from one branch of service to another, the awards earned by the member in their previous branch(es) of service may be worn on their new uniform in accordance with the policies set forth in this AO.

The Civilian Headquarters represents and manages the non-uniformed civilian branches and maintains overall responsibility for the creation and direction of civilian policies and procedures. In line with other organizations, there are formal titles for the heads of each type of chapter. These are equivalent to the head of a naval chapter being referred to as “Captain” regardless of rank. There are three levels, the “head of posting” broadly equivalent to the commanding officer on a ship, the deputy title, broadly equivalent to the executive officer on a ship and the Assistant, broadly equivalent to the Bosun on a ship. There are different names depending on the size of the posting, to align to the different status accorded the position. approved as an award.

The Star Kingdom Defence Pin is comparable to the Space Warfare Pin. There is an unlicensed version and a licensed officer version of the pin.

Basic requirements for the unlicensed version are a rank of C-1 to C-8, passing 2 RMMM rank courses, 2 exams from the All Hands courses, and six other RMMM exams with at least one exam from 3 of the 4 RMMM departments. Total is 10 exams.

Basic requirements for the licensed officer version are a rank of C-12 or higher, passing 1 RMMM officer exam, and at least 6 total rank exams, 2 exams from the all hands list and 13 other RMMM exams with at least 2 from each of 3 of the 4 departments. Total is 21 exams.

The '''Royal Manticoran Astro Control Service''' (''abbrev'': '''RMACS''') is a component of The Royal Manticoran Navy, and is one of three uniformed civilian branches of TRMN. Members of this branch hold military-designated ranks and job titles and may wear the various orders of [[RMACS]] uniform. Members of this component tend to focus on the Astro-Control related aspects of the stories.

==Honorverse==
Within the context of the Honorverse canon, Astro Control Services is a uniformed civil service responsible for manning the Junction and Termini Control, for Search and Rescue in the Junction and Termini areas, and for providing Customs enforcement in liaison with [[RMMC]] and Royal Customs personnel.

Commander Honor Harrington’s relationship with [[RADM]] Reynaud of Astro Control and the way she turned around the efficiency of operations in the Basilisk Station area was one key aspect of the beginnings of her career success.

The Manticore Wormhole Junction is the busiest location in human space. In 1905 PD, the ACS was directing a wormhole transit through the Junction once every three minutes. By 1920 PD, following the discovery of the seventh terminus, it was handling one transit every eighty-five seconds. (SI1)

RMACS Survey Command is also responsible for conducting junction and terminus beacon surveys. Until the Royal Manticoran Astrophysics Investigation Agency was established by the High Ridge government, Survey Command also conducted research into the existence of the seventh terminus of the Manticore Wormhole Junction, eventually discovering the Lynx Terminus.

==Real Life Connections==
Members of the RMACS are often interested in RL Aviation, and the RMACS Aerospace Wings program is designed to foster that interest. Aerospace Wings can be earned either through RL aviation activities, or by participating in online learning or flight simulation activities. For more information, see the Aerospace Wings Wiki page. RMACS members also often have Coast Guard or lifesaving backgrounds that play into their interest in this part of the TRMN.

The structure of the Special Intelligence Service currently is the Director of Intelligence, and the Deputy Director of Intelligence .
