Admiralty Order 2103-02 was issued 28 Mar 2021 by the First Lord of the Admiralty. This order defines the Policy Document naming and numbering scheme.

As of the publication of this Order, the following is effective:
- Policy Document Naming will adhere to the following format:
- PD-DEP-XXXX
- PD = Policy Document
- DEP = DEPARTMENT (ie. FLA, 1SL, 2SL, 3SL, 4SL, 5SL, 6SL, 7SL, RMC, RMA, SCA, SFC, RMM, DIP, ITL, CIV, GSN, IAN, RHN)
- XXXX = Number
Policy Document Numbering will adhere to the following format:
- 1000’s – Office/Headquarters Policies
- 2000’s – Award Related Policies
- 3000’s – Operational Policies
- 4000’s – Personnel/Database Policies
- 5000’s – Publication Policies (includes web and social media)
- 6000’s – Leadership/Management/Mentoring Policies
- 7000 – 9000’s – For further expansion
