Effective immediately all promotions to E-7 (Chief Petty Officer and the equivalent) will be handled by the Senior Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (SMCPON) for the appropriate Naval branch.

This means that the SMCPON for each of the allied services and navies (the Royal Manticoran Navy, the Grayson Space Navy, the Imperial Andermani Navy, the Republic of Haven Navy, the Royal Manticoran Army, and the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps) will approve promotions to E-7 and convene promotion boards for their services respective Senior Enlisted Promotions (E-8 to E-10). Advice on setting up the processes for these promotions and Promotion boards will be provided by the RMN SMCPON (who previously handled all such Senior Enlisted promotions) as needed and requested.

For the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps, all promotions to E-7 (Master Sergeant) will be handled by the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Corps.

For the Royal Manticoran Army, all promotions to E-7 (Master Sergeant) will be handled by the Sergeant Major of the Army.

Civilian promotions will be handled by the appropriate civilian agency head.

These changes are being made to ensure that each service continues to grow and meet the needs of the members of their respective service in the best possible way and interests of each branch of this organization.
