In accordance with the requirements and privileges granted in [[Admiralty Order 1612-02]] (Flagship Selection by Flag Officers), [[BuShips Directive 1701-05]] (Flagship Declaration Policy) and after conversing with the CO of the affected ship, I hereby declare {{hms|Valkyrie|SD-355|hcn}}, as the Flagship of Bureau of Ships. ''Valkyrie'' may remain lead ship of Batron 1 as the Squadron Commander does not carry flag rank.

[[Captain Senior Grade]] McTavish, please ensure you have Valkyrie returned to the shipyard for necessary painting and installation of required equipment and furnishings, I’ll make sure the guys give a little extra polish for the rest of the ship as well.
