This order defines Royal Manticoran Marine Corps unit structure as required by PD-SC-1003. This order supersedes Corps Directives 02-1903 and 02-2204, and is a supplement to PD-SC-1003.

==Chapter Types==

====Tier 1 - Squad====
*Minimum Marines: 2
*Minimum NCO Grade: E-6 (SSgt)

====Tier 2 - Platoon====
*Minimum Marines: 3
*Minimum CO Rank: O-1 (2nd Lieutenant)
*Minimum NCO/Gunny Grade: E-6 (Ssgt)

====Tier 3 - Company====
*Minimum Marines: 3
*Minimum CO Rank: O-3 (Captain)
*Minimum NCO/Gunny Grade: E-7 (MSgt)
*- Each Company is authorized artwork, pending the approval of the Art Department and the Office of the Commandant (RMMC).

====Tier 4 - Enhanced Company====
*Minimum Marines: 6
*Minimum CO Rank: O-4 (Major)
*Minimum XO Rank: O-3 (Captain)
*Minimum NCO/Gunny Grade: E-7 (Msgt)
*- Each Enhanced Company is authorized artwork, pending the approval of the Art Department and the Office of the Commandant (RMMC).

====Tier 5 - Battalion====
*Minimum Marines: 8
*Minimum CO Rank: O-5 (Lt. Colonel)
*Minimum XO Rank: O-4 (Major)
*Minimum NCO/Gunny Grade: E-7 (MSgt)
*- Each Battalion is authorized artwork, pending the approval of the Art Department and the Office of the Commandant (RMMC).

The Royal Manticoran Marine Corps presently has no chapter sizes higher than Tier 5.

==RMMC Command Echelons==

====Level 1 - Regiment====
*Composition: 2-3 MARDETs
*Minimum CO Rank: O-4 (Major)
*- The Regiment commanding officer will be 1 rank higher than the rank of the highest ranking MARDET commander, with a minimum rank of O-4, and a maximum rank of O-6.
*- The Regiment commanding officer may be one of the component MARDET CO's, and will be the senior MARDET CO present.
*- If the Regiment CO is already 1 rank higher than it's component CO's and meets the minimum rank requirements, no brevet will be authorized.
*- Each Regiment is authorized an identifying patch to be worn on the left sleeve of the uniform in accordance with uniform manual RMMC 2-01.

====Level 2 - Brigade====
*Composition: 2-3 Regiments
*Minimum CO Rank: O-6 (Colonel)
*- Each Brigade is authorized artwork, pending the approval of the Art Department and the Office of the Commandant (RMMC).

====Level 3 - Division====
*Composition: 2-3 Brigades
*Minimum CO Rank: F-1 (Brigadier General)
*- Each Division is authorized artwork, pending the approval of the Art Department and the Office of the Commandant (RMMC).

====Level 4 - Expeditionary Force====
*Composition: All MARDETs and RMMC Echelons in a geographic district as specified in PD-SC-1003 (Table 2)
*Minimum CO Rank: F-2 (Major General)

The numbering for command echelons will be assigned using a numbering scheme determined by the Commandant (RMMC).
When possible, a previously existing echelon will be used, including it's established name and any approved artwork.
In the event an assigned echelon is new, the newly-formed echelon may determine the new name and develop new artwork in collaboration with the Office of the Commandant (RMMC).
