It promotes the [[Eighth Fleet]] Bosun and awards a [[Royal Unit Citation for Gallantry]] and [[Monarch&#039;s Thanks]].<br /> <br /> ==Order Text==<br /> AWARD AND PROMOTION ANNOUNCEMENT<br /> <br /> As my final act as the 8th Fleet Commander, it is my privilege to issue the following awards, recently approved by the [[First Lord of the Admiralty]] and to take care of a long overdue promotion to bring 8th Fleet into line with other Fleets.<br /> <br /> ROYAL UNIT CITATION FOR GALLANTRY<br /> <br /> Awarded to {{hms|Anasazi|SD(P)-482}}, SD-482. This unit has been extremely active in community service activities, having raised over $3000 in just two weekends for Toys for Tots and the local food bank. The Crew of HMS Anasazi has donated over 200 hours of time to a long list of community service activities. Among which are Toys for Tots, the local food bank, habitat for Humanity, and coat and clothing drives. The crew did this while volunteering at local cons and conducting events with another ship in their local area.<br /> <br /> MONARCH’S THANKS<br /> <br /> Awarded to [[Rear Admiral]] of the Red Dan Brandow for his dedicated and devoted service as the Deputy Fleet Commander for this fine fleet over the last 15 months. Without his advice and support, I do not think the 8th Fleet would be as successful as it has been.<br /> <br /> PROMOTION<br /> <br /> After consultation with the [[SMCPON]], Tom Coonradt, it is my privilege to brevet promote the 8th Fleet Bosun, Jacob Sandoval to the rank of [[Senior Master Chief Petty Officer]].
