==History==
''Reuben James'' was first brought into commission on 01 March 2011 under the command of [[LCDR]] James Kratzer, by order of [[Bureau of Ships|BuShips]]. This ship was the second ship ever to be commissioned in [[TRMN]] and was originally in [[First Fleet]], based out of [[wikipedia:Baltimore, Maryland|Baltimore, Maryland]]. After nine months, it was also the first ship to upgrade up to {{hms|Heracles|BC-566}} on 10 January 2012, and put into the [[Active Reserves]].

The ''Reuben James'' was recommissioned on 31 October 2015, when {{hms|Saladin|DD-515}} was split into the three ships of [[Escort Division 6]]. [[LCDR]] Greg Barnette took command of the ship, finally giving a chapter to downstate South Carolina.
