==History==
Upgrading from {{hms|Ares|CL-85|hcn}}, HMS ''Titan'' was brought into commission in Sixth Fleet out of [[wikipedia:Missouri City, TX|Missouri City, TX]] in June of 2016, under the command of Captain (Junior Grade) Larry Cameron.<ref name="BSD160601">[[BuShips Directive 1606-01]]</ref> Within the following month, the ship proved herself to be a fast mover: by July, she had already joined Task Group 61.1 under TF61,<ref name="ND16JUL01">[[Naval Directive 16JUL-01]]</ref>, and stood up a section as MARDET Titan.<ref name="FCOMO1607B">[[FORCECOM Order 1607-B]]</ref>

In June of 2017 command shifted to CAPTJG John Gilfillan,<ref name="BSD170602">[[BuShips Directive 1706-02]]</ref> where it remained until February, 2018: at this point, the captain and crew upgraded to {{hms|Salamander|CLAC-31|hcn}}, returning ''Titan'' to the [[Royal Manticoran Reserve Fleet|Active Reserve]].<ref name="BuShips Directive 1802-05">[[BuShips Directive 1802-05]]</ref>
