The Royal Manticoran Navy is a service of great responsibility and honour.
It is our duty and our privilege to serve at her Majesty's pleasure
protecting the spaceways and the citizens of our Star Kingdom. But it is
also our responsibility to take the authority granted us to do so and
utilize same with a sense of civility and respect for our subordinates,
peers, and leaders as well as the non-uniformed personnel we are tasked to
protect. Arrogance and condescending attitudes are neither helpful nor the
true conduct of a Queen's Officer.

Unlike other hobby organizations and enthusiast associations, the "Royal
Manticoran Navy - the Official Honor Harrington Fan Organization", has as
our paradigm, service in, or alongside the uniformed services of her
Majesty's Armed Forces, and the members of same will conduct themselves with
all due respect to that which we are attempting to emulate. Because of the
medium most of us utilize to communicate with each other, the Internet, we
must always be aware how our tone may come across differently then intended.
This can lead to conflict and strife not intended, and must be avoided.

Therefore, ALL members of the Royal Manticoran Navy WILL conduct themselves
in their interactions with any other members of the organization, and/or
while in an official capacity with non-members, as if they were addressing
the Sovereign herself. Every member and potential member deserves our
respect and civility.

As of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the
Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby state that the above
will be the policy of the Royal Manticoran Navy, effective 25-FEB-11.
