This Naval Directive is to clarify the requirements for wearing of the Beret for members of The Royal Manticoran Navy the Official Honor Harrington Fan Association.

Because of the International nature or our organization, the fact that we are NOT a military force, the fact that we have members who have served in every branch of the US Armed Forces, and in various other nation's Armed Forces, or never served at all. And because each of these forces have their own specific rules of Beret Wear.

Therefore the Royal Manticoran Navy will not prescribe nor proscribe any version of Beret Wear for its members. Chapter may have their own internal guidelines, but no echelon above the chapter, including Numbered Fleets, or the Navy as a whole may designate one wear guideline over another.

Harassment of any member over their wear of the Beret will be dealt with according to Admiralty Orders covering harassment.

This directive made under my hand will be effective 0001 hours 25-SEP-2015.
