The '''Advanced Leadership College''' (ALC) is made up of two parts. The first delivers TRMN-internal coursework that supplements, and acts as a prerequisite for, the main-line rank courses in every branch; these can also be taken on their own as a self-contained sequence. The second grants BuTrain course credit for approved real-world, third-party courses in leadership, communication, management, and ethics.

The Advanced Leadership College offers BuTrain course credit for ‘real world’ third-party leadership, communication, management, and ethics courses through our External Studies program. Recommended are free courses available through the Alison.com learning management system along with a few others. BuTrain has ‘pre-approved’ a number of these courses in the four areas, and each has been given a MEDUSA course name that directly mirrors the Alison or other provider course title.
Through its External Studies program, the Advanced Leadership College grants BuTrain course credit for real-world, third-party courses in leadership, communication, management, and ethics. Most of the recommended options are free courses on the Alison.com learning platform, with a few from other providers. BuTrain has pre-approved a number of these across the four areas, and each carries a MEDUSA course name that mirrors the provider's own title.
