Re: Appointment of Deputy 6th Space Lord
Twelve Months ago, BuTrain suddenly lost the Deputy 6th Space Lord, well before we were ready for any such transition. We desperately needed someone with TRMN, management and educational experience. Konteradmiral Geoffrey W Zoeller (RMN-6093-19) was initially reluctant due to commitments in BuPers but agreed to assist for a us for year while we worked on our longer-term transition plan.
During the year Konteradmiral Zoeller has put in hundreds, if not literal thousands of hours of work to push forward several major projects in BuTrain and completed several of these projects in record time.
Konteradmiral Zoellers commitment for the 12 months is up, and we wish to thank him deeply for the work that he has done, and an appropriate award nomination has been submitted. He is relieved from the full D6SL duties but remaining in course development work in the Office of the 6th Space Lord and is thus appointed as a Course Development Officer.
Commodore Bruce Crews (RMN-6023-19) is appointed to the position of Deputy 6th Space Lord and in accordance with those duties is breveted to Rear Admiral of the Red (F-2).
RADM Crews is ordered to report to the Office of the 6th Space Lord to take on these duties.
