HMS Artemis (BC-592) was a Nike-class Battlecruiser of the Royal Manticoran Navy, commissioned in the Tenth Fleet in 2014 and chartered in Santa Ana, California. She served as flagship of Task Group 91.1 and later Battlecruiser Division 921 across two crews and a decade of service, before her decommissioning on 21 December 2024.
History
Artemis was commissioned in the Tenth Fleet on 15 April 2014 under CAPTSG Sir Thomas Marrone.[1] That June she became the flagship of Task Group 91.1,[2] and led the echelon at fleet events including Con-Volution 2014, BayCon 2015, and Con-Volution 2015. She was transferred to the active fleet reserves on 14 November 2015, when her crew took custody of the Superdreadnought HMS Medusa.
She was recommissioned on 28 November 2015 in the Tenth Fleet when the crew of HMS Merlin transferred aboard.[3] She became the flagship of Battlecruiser Division 921 in August 2016.[4] Command passed to CAPTJG Christopher Eason in October 2020,[5] and returned to CAPTSG Beilby in April 2022.[6] Artemis was decommissioned on 21 December 2024, her crew transferred to the holding chapter HMSS Hephaestus.[7]
