| IMNA’s Grayson Technical Specialties College (TSC) trains enlisted personnel in their ratings, and officers to lead the departments and divisions in which these ratings work. Enlisted personnel can choose among a variety of ratings that suit their desires. All specialties are grouped into departments, as on the ships, with each specialty its own school. Specialties are comprised of two-to-five courses technical training: A Course (Apprentice), M Course (Mate), C Course (Chief), W Course (Warrant Officer Specialist), and D Course (Officer). The W courses are optional and available to those who choose to pursue a course at the highest enlisted rates in their technical specialty. INNA TSC also includes two specialty centers: Alvarez Field LAC Training Command and the Hugh Yanakov Centre for the Study of Military Law.
