How to Start a Chapter

Prospective soldiers who wish to establish prospective RMA chapters must apply using the Google Forms RMA Deployment Request Form or via email to the Adjutant General with the required information. Once the High Command has reviewed and approved the request, the new unit will be activated and added to the RMA unit roster.

Roleplay Regular Army or Atmospheric Unit?

There is no real functional difference between a regular army and an atmospheric unit chapter within the RMA. Both entities have the same reporting requirements and operate in more or less the same way as any other chapter. Where they differ is that an army unit may be sponsored by a TRMN peer under the Colonel of the Regiment program. Having peer sponsorship affords an army unit certain privileges unavailable to regular army units and allows the peer in question the opportunity to wear RMA awards they might not otherwise be authorized for them. Choosing Your Unit’s Military Occupation Specialty Type

Your unit Military Occupational Specialty, or MOS, type is largely for role playing purposes in the RMA. It is the job your unit is trained to do.  Smaller chapters can choose to focus on one MOS, but larger units can employ multiple MOS type units. An example would be an atmospheric unit, it has pilots but also ground security components. Each is a different MOS but belong to the same regiment chapter. Select an MOS in the academy section of courses (when available).

Unit Activities

The RMA, and the TRMN as a whole, encourage a wide swath of activities based on the 4 pillars, which are event participation, academics, marksmanship, and charity. Activities that involve academics could be studying for courses in the academy, or leading members in activities that involve other pillars. Marksmanship activities could be anything from gaming online to hosting card games or playing RPGs. Event participation activities foster esprit de corp like getting uniforms ready and attending conventions or other events. Last is charity, and such activities could be manning tables and collecting donations for Big Cat Rescue or other charities that count towards the Order of Queen Elizabeth. A best practice is to plan your activities as a group, so all members interested and available may attend.

Leadership Requirements and Selection

RMA Organization denotes the staffing requirements for each echelon and unit type and which ranks are required to command an RMA chapter. The following chart further clarifies the command team requirements at each chapter size that you will need in order to establish or maintain the listed unit type.
