As of December 1, 2015, Brevet promotions will no longer be allowed for chapter upgrades ([[Destroyer|DD]] to [[CL]], [[CA]] to [[Battlecruiser|BC]], etc.). All members of the proposed Command Triad for any chapter wishing to upgrade in type (DD, CL, CA, etc.) must have completed all required testing for any higher rank to be bestowed upon the chapter upgrade.
