HMS Chimera (CLAC-07) is a LAC Carrier assigned to Task Group 92.1 within the Tenth Fleet.
History
Chimera was commissioned on 21 August 2012 under the command of Captain, senior grade Tobias Gassman, and was assigned to the First Fleet.[1]
On 21 May 2014, command passed to Captain, senior grade Andre Tessier, with Tobias Gassman reassigned as Executive Officer.[2]
Chimera was recommissioned on 12 December 2018 under the command of Captain (junior grade) Duane Kietzmann and assigned to the Tenth Fleet at Salem, Oregon. At the same time, HMS Helen (BC-570) was transferred to the Active Fleet Reserves.[3]
On 13 December 2024, Commander Chris Ballowe assumed command of Chimera, relieving Duane Kietzmann.[4]
