HMS Claymore (CA-51) was a Broadsword-class Heavy Cruiser of the Royal Manticoran Navy in Eighth Fleet, chartered in Arizona. Commissioned in 2014 from the crew of the destroyer HMS Condor, she was decommissioned in 2016 when that crew upgraded to the battlecruiser HMS Claymore, then recommissioned in 2017 as one of two heavy cruisers formed when the battlecruiser's chapter divided.

History

Claymore was first commissioned on 28 July 2014 under the command of CAPTJG Marcus Johnston, her crew having upgraded from the destroyer HMS Condor, which was returned to the reserve.[1] CDR Darren Lee was appointed executive officer on 1 January 2015.[2] The chapter took part in LepreCon 2015, for which several members were recognized.[3]

On 27 April 2016 the crew upgraded to the battlecruiser HMS Claymore, and Claymore (CA-51) was placed in inactive reserve.[4]

She was recommissioned on 22 April 2017 under CAPTJG Michael Naron when the battlecruiser's chapter divided into two Eighth Fleet heavy cruisers, Claymore and HMS Broadsword, based at Tucson, Arizona.[5] The two were organized as Heavy Cruiser Division 815 until its dissolution on 13 January 2018.[6] Claymore took part in the Tempe Library Comic-Con and LepreCon 2018.[7][8]
