SMS Zweihander (Z-129) was a Dolch-class Destroyer of the Tenth Fleet, now decommissioned and held in Active Reserve.

History

Zweihander was commissioned on 10 November 2018 as a Dolch-class Destroyer and assigned to the Tenth Fleet (Mountain View, California). Her first commanding officer was OdS Carl Prael, brevetted to Korvettenkapitän on commissioning.[1]

On 4 September 2024, Zweihander was ordered to stand down and return to Manticore for decommissioning and crew transfer, with command relinquished to the Bureau of Ships. Following inspection at Alpha Station, Potsdam, she was decommissioned and placed in Active Reserve, and her crew was transferred to HMSS Hephaestus to await further assignment.[2]
