New Essex

New Essex is a peerage land within The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. and awarded for dedicated service to the organization. New Essex was created as a potential peerage land in Orders:Admiralty Order 0801-08 in January of 2008, making it among the oldest, and one of the original, peerage lands created for the organization. It was abbreviated with the code NE in the AO.

It was first awarded as a peerage land to Robert. W. Bulkeley, Jr. on 16 April 2011 in Orders:Admiralty Order 1104-01. Captain, j.g. Bulkeley was elevated to the peerage rank of Baron.

On 23 May 2015, New Essex went from a Barony to a County as Admiral of the Red Bulkeley was elevated to the peerage rank of Earl.

On 27 May 2017, the land became inactive, when Earl New Essex was recreated as Duke Mountain View. It remained inactive for five months.

On 28 October 2017, the land was reinstated as a Barony, as RADM of the Green Diane Bulkeley became the second person to hold the land as an award. She was the first Baroness and first Countess New Essex by virtue of marriage to the first Baron (Robert Bulkeley). As of the award to Baroness, she also became the Second Baroness New Essex.

On 15 January 2021, New Essex again went from a Barony to a County as VADM of the Red Diane Bulkeley was elevated to the peerage rank of Countess and awarded the County in her own right.
