TO: All Fleet, Echelon and Chapter Command Triads and Staff of Tenth Fleet

FROM: CDRE Zach Perkins, Chief of Staff

RE: Tenth Fleet Quarterly Battle Rhythm, Q4 2022

3rd Day, 10th Month, Two Thousand Twenty-Two

ALCON:

The following tasking is effective immediately:

1. All Tenth Fleet Staff and Subordinate Units will utilize and conduct operations in accordance with (IAW) the battle rhythm and guidance below in order to (IOT) meet reporting requirements and ensure command level situational awareness in support of (ISO) a common operating picture (COP).

a. Chapter and Echelon level bi-monthly reports are submitted by the CO or XO via the MEDUSA webform no earlier than (NET) the 1st of each even numbered month and no later than (NLT) the 10th of each even numbered month IAW ND 14JL-01 and BuShips:CO manual/Operations/Reporting

b. Quarterly Awards submissions to staff are not a requirement, however any service member seeking Fleet Command level endorsement or support of a proposed Admiralty level award submission must adhere to the suspense dates above and submit the awards draft through the Chief of Staff at zperkinsTRMN@gmail.com. Service members are entitled to submit awards directly through normal channels, but are being offered the opportunity to have those awards reviewed, revised, endorsed and submitted on their behalf by the Fleet Commander should they choose to submit through the quarterly method described above

c. Fleet Staff Commander's Update Brief (CUB) meetings are held on a bimonthly cadence on the first Wednesday of all odd numbered months. Fleet Staff CUBs are a formal briefing utilizing a slide deck presented by the Fleet Staff to the Fleet Command Triad. Participants include the Fleet Commander, Deputy Fleet Commander, Fleet Bosun, Fleet Chief of Staff, and all formally assigned Fleet Staff members as reflected on MEDUSA. Fleet Staff CUBs will be conducted virtually utilizing a previously agreed upon platform (Zoom, Discord, Google Meet, etc) available at the time

d. Echelon / Chapter Command Sync meetings are held on a quarterly cadence on the first Wednesday of the final month of the quarter. Echelon / Chapter Command Syncs are an informal briefing not requiring slides, presented by the Echelon / Chapter Command Triads to the Fleet Command Triad and Fleet Staff. Participants include all Echelon / Chapter Command Triads (COs, XOs, Bosuns) and all Fleet Command Triad and Fleet Staff personnel. Echelon / Chapter Command Syncs will be conducted virtually utilizing a previously agreed upon platform (Zoom, Discord, Google Meet, etc) available at the time.

e. All times included in this tasking are in Pacific Time.
