On 25 May 2020, Laura Lochen was promoted to ducal rank with the title of Duchess of Split Rock. With the change of territorial designation, Boundary Waters is no longer in use as a title, but it is assumed that the Boundary Waters territory is located within the Duchy of Split Rock, and the title is available to be awarded to another member.
