HMS Tornado (DD-488) was a Roland-class Destroyer of the Royal Manticoran Navy, chartered in Park Forest, Illinois and assigned to the Eighth Fleet. Commissioned in 2014, she was recommissioned in 2017 and 2020 before her decommissioning in 2026.
History
HMS Tornado was commissioned on 21 Nov 2014 under the command of LCDR Mark Tassin, a Roland-class Destroyer assigned to the Eighth Fleet.[1]
A change of command on 5 May 2015 placed LCDR Geoff Strayer in command.[2]
HMS Tornado was recommissioned on 3 Dec 2017 under the command of KdS Charles Shananaquet II.[3]
On 10 Sep 2018, CPO Dan Sparks-Jackson was appointed Ship's Bosun.[4]
HMS Tornado was recommissioned on 28 Feb 2020 under the command of LCDR Richard DeShong.[5]
