Royal Meritorious Unit Citation

For outstanding group performance as the highest achieving Talbott Fleet chapter in the 2024 Emergency Management Challenge event, the Royal Meritorious Unit Citation is hereby awarded to the crew of HMS Medusa (SD-316).

Queen’s Bravery Medal

Matthew Anderson displayed exceptional dedication and endurance in support of TRMN during RadCon, committing an impressive over 29 hours of service. He contributed two hours to the setup of the Ward Room and Artemis, ensuring a strong start to operations. Throughout the event, he was a cornerstone of Ward Room operations, serving an astounding 22 hours and 25 minutes to provide a welcoming and engaging presence for attendees. Additionally, he spent over three and a half hours managing the Ward Room/Artemis door, ensuring smooth access control. Even after the convention ended, he assisted for another hour and a half in teardown operations. Beyond these official duties, he went above and beyond by running coffee and snacks to other convention volunteers, embodying the spirit of selfless service and teamwork. For his exceptional commitment, endurance, and dedication to both TRMN and the convention community, Matthew Anderson is highly deserving of the Queen’s Bravery Medal (QBM).

Erin Murphy demonstrated exceptional dedication and service during RadCon, contributing a total of over 21 hours across multiple critical operations. She devoted five hours to setting up the Registration area and an additional three and a half hours assisting with general convention setup, ensuring a smooth start to the event. Throughout the convention, she was a key presence in both the Ward Room and Artemis operations, providing over six hours of support to engage attendees and promote TRMN. Her commitment extended to the Tea Party, where she contributed nearly six hours to creating a memorable experience for participants. Even after the event concluded, she assisted in the teardown of the Ward Room and Artemis Simulator. For her tireless efforts, dedication to TRMN’s mission, and exemplary service, Erin Murphy is nominated for the Queen’s Bravery Medal (QBM).

Alan Schemer-Kohrn played a vital role in the successful execution of the convention by aiding in the setup of the Artemis Room and serving as a mainstay throughout its ongoing operations. His dedication ensured the room remained fully functional and welcoming to attendees. During his limited free time, he further demonstrated his commitment by volunteering at the combined TRMN Ward Room and Fan Table, promoting the organization and enhancing the attendee experience.

For his outstanding dedication, tireless service, and exemplary support of TRMN operations, Commander Schemer-Kohrn is nominated for the Queen’s Bravery Medal (QBM).

Matt Foster has demonstrated outstanding dedication and service to TRMN through his extensive contributions to RadCon and its planning. As a committed member of the Convention Committee (ConCom), he attended monthly meetings through November 2024, each lasting approximately 3–4 hours, helping to shape the event’s success. During the convention itself, he was a cornerstone of Ward Room and Artemis operations, contributing an extraordinary 18 hours and 40 minutes to running these key areas. Even after the event concluded, he remained on hand to assist with teardown operations. His long-term commitment, leadership, and tireless service make him highly deserving of the Queen’s Bravery Medal (QBM).

Athena Pelly was instrumental in the effective planning, coordination, and deployment of the Artemis Simulator at RadCon. Her months of collaboration with the convention team ensured the seamless integration and successful execution of this service, enhancing the overall event experience. Throughout the convention, she played a key role in setting up and facilitating the Artemis Simulator, ensuring its smooth operation and engaging attendees. In addition to her technical contributions, CPO Pelly actively promoted TRMN within the Ward Room, further strengthening the organization's presence and outreach.

Her dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service make her a vital asset to the chapter and a key contributor to RadCon's success. For this, Chief Petty Officer Pelly is nominated for the Queen’s Bravery Medal (QBM).

A special commendation goes to Renee Allwardt, who volunteered for the Radcon Tea. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and diligence were exemplary, and she is hereby Mentioned in Dispatches for her outstanding service.

Conspicuous Bravery Medal

William Karnesky went above and beyond the call of duty volunteering 35 hours at Radcon, a convention in Pasco, Washington. During this time, they assisted with setup and tear down of TRMN rooms, managed the TRMN rooms, and contributed to various event-related operations throughout the convention.

Shawn Merrow displayed exceptional dedication and leadership during RadCon, contributing across multiple key areas to enhance the convention experience. He served as a panel host for three hours, sharing knowledge and engaging attendees in meaningful discussions. Additionally, he dedicated four hours to running a game demo, providing an interactive and enjoyable experience for convention-goers. Beyond these roles, he also contributed nearly two hours to Ward Room operations, supporting TRMN’s presence and outreach. For his versatile contributions, commitment to community engagement, and exemplary service, Shawn Merrow is nominated for the Conspicuous Bravery Medal (CBM).

Doug Staudt exhibited outstanding dedication and leadership in support of RadCon, contributing both in visible and behind-the-scenes roles to ensure the event's success. He dedicated five hours to hosting panels, engaging attendees with insightful discussions and enhancing the convention experience. Beyond his panel work, he played a crucial role as a member of the Convention Committee (ConCom), contributing countless hours attending meetings and working behind the scenes to help plan and execute the event. His commitment, leadership, and willingness to go above and beyond make him highly deserving of the Conspicuous Bravery Medal (CBM).

Conspicuous Service Medal

Ryan Taylor demonstrated dedication and service in support of TRMN operations at RadCon, contributing across multiple key areas. He assisted with the setup of the Ward Room and Artemis Simulator, dedicating two hours to ensuring a smooth start to the event. During the convention, he provided over an hour of support to Ward Room and Artemis operations, along with an additional 45 minutes of dedicated service in the Ward Room, helping to engage attendees and promote TRMN. Even after the event concluded, he remained to assist with teardown efforts. For his commitment, reliability, and willingness to contribute, Ryan Taylor is nominated for the Conspicuous Service Medal (CSM).

Masadan Occupation Medal

RadCon is a local convention hosted by the RadCon Guild, “an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the promotion of Art, Literature, Science, Gaming and Imagination especially in the Science Fiction/Fantasy genres” (https://www.radcon.org/info/about-us/). not only attended this convention, but they also represented The Royal Manticoran Navy while volunteering at least an two hours to the convention to ensure the event was successful for all.
