Dear Admiral Misener and Captain Lupindo

Per Joint Directive PD-SC-1004, It is with great pleasure that I endorse and approve the promotion of the following members to the rank of Chief Petty Officer, effective as listed.

David Patrick O'Shea (RMN-2539-14) HMS Medusa, (Service) Effective 01JUN24

Advancement to Chief Petty Officer is a tangible recognition of the member's longevity and participation. All Chief Petty Officers are expected to set an example for their crew-mates, be an active member of the ship's CPO Mess and support the efforts of the Command Triad and in-particular the Bosun. To the new Chiefs: Advancement to Chief Petty officer is a singular honor, until today "Ask the Chief" was the advice you were given; today you are that Chief, give your counsel with wisdom and humility.

Please extend my personal congratulations to the newly appointed Chief Petty Officers.
