Sir Justin:
Directive 23MY-01.01: You are directed and required to assume the role and responsibilities of Third
Space Lord, commanding the Bureau of Ships, relieving VADM Calabasas, RMN. Fail not in this duty at
your peril.
Directive 23MY-01.02: In accordance with Naval Directive 22DE-01 (“Flag Officer Billet Minimum Ranks”) in taking on this command, you are breveted to the rank of VICE ADMIRAL OF THE RED, RMN (F-
3-A), and hereby entitled to all rights and privileges therein.
Directive 23MY-01.03: VADM Calabasas is hereby awarded the Order of the Crown for Naval Service.
His citation reads as follows: “For his distinguished service to the Crown in his nearly eight years of
tenure within the Bureau of Ships while serving in the Royal Manticoran Navy, VADM Calabasas, since
2015, has fostered the growth and development of all Naval Districts in his capacity as the Director of
Shipbuilding, Deputy Third Space Lord, and as Third Space Lord. He has rendered direct assistance to
the Fleet Commanding Officers and his fellow Space Lords with professionalism and dedication
consistent with the highest traditions of the Naval Service, and reflects great credit upon himself, the
Bureau of Ships, and the Royal Manticoran Navy. He is authorized the post-nominal ‘OCN.’”
The above directives are issued with an effective date of 27 May 2023.
