Michael Laitinen RMN-6070-19
Senior Analyst (C-2) Michael Laitinen stepped in when Orycon needed assistance with printing of the convention badges. This was a major time sensitive issue for the convention and in large part the actions of Michael Laitinen were instrumental in allowing and enabling the Convention to go ahead. Michael went above and beyond the call of duty and operated in a manner well above what could be reasonably expected of a C-2. In addition to the more than 7 hours required to achieve this task Michael also assisted with load in for the convention.
Robert Eugene Farley RMN-6652-21
For all of his efforts in organizing and leading the data organization, marketing, administration, finances, and mailings for the "Run for the Cats 2024" event, the Conspicuous Bravery Medal is awarded to Commodore Robert Farley (RMN-6652-21). Congratulations!
Pamela Wilsonsage RMN-2670-14
Ms Wilsonsage Volunteered over 20 hours between the TRMN and the Orycon convention. Ms Wilsonsage assisted in many capacities including working the fan table, helping run the wardroom tearing down the fan table after Convention was over.
Survivor's Cross
Amanda Kundert RMN-6069-19
C-3 Ms. Amanda Kundert came to Orycon with the intention of spending most of her time volunteering for the TRMN and Orycon. This plan was derailed when her hotel roommate was having frequent stress induced (/rt real life issues not convention) seizures and required someone to monitor her more closely throughout the weekend. Not only did Ms. Kundert willingly do this, but there were also 2 of the seizures severe enough to require Ms. Kundert to call 911. The first time she was taken to the ER the second the paramedics just monitored VS and made sure she wasn't going to have any adverse effects from seizure.
Queen's Bravery Medal
David Carlson RMN-3487-15
Staff Sergeant Carlson Spent 11 TRMN related volunteer hours and 13 Orycon related TRMN hours. Sergeant Carlson worked as convention security, He also helped with both convention and TRMN set up for the convention. Any time someone was needed to run an errand or lift heavy things Staff Sergeant Carlson was there to lend a hand.
Navy/Marine Achievement Medal
Wesley Twitchell RMN-2880-15
During the month of September the Kamerling hosted a course work challenge. Chief Plotting Mate Wesley Twitchell won the challenge with the best weighted average score.
Grayson Military Achievement Medal
Kathy E. Rau RMN-2032-14
Her Grace SMCPO Lady Kathy Rau, QCB, OC, OE, NS2, QBM, Steadholder Chernakova was chief of the HMS Medusa Wardroom. Her attention to the details of a tasty and balanced menu made the Wardroom successful and popular.
