The Main Line Training Center (MLTC) is the home of the Royal Manticoran Army Main Line Department, the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps Main Line Department, the Staff Officer Training Center, and all associated instructors. Here, the soldiers, marines, and students of the Grand Alliance will pursue coursework that will help them gain knowledge and skills, make them eligible to move up through the ranks, and prepare to meet the challenges of positive and active membership in TRMN.

King Roger I Military Academy
The Royal Manticoran Army's main line training is delivered through the King Roger I Military Academy (KR1MA). The RMA established the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Training (ODCSTRA) in 2012 per Orders:Army Directive 05-1209, as a liaison to the Bureau of Training charged with developing the academy's materials and programs. Its primary mandate is the organizational and leadership training required for promotion within the RMA; its secondary mandate is to promote study in science, engineering, mathematics, history, and military history.
Having taken the Intro to TRMN 1, 2, 3 sequence, the Enlisted School is the first school all Royal Manticoran Army soldiers experience when they begin their service to the Queen. The noncommissioned officer’s (NCO) courses are where we craft the "backbone" of the Royal Manticoran Army. Here we further instill the qualities of management and leadership, challenging our soldiers and other students to rise to the highest standards.

Junior, Senior, and General Officer Schools
The Royal Manticoran Army Main Line Course Sequence divides its officer school into three distinct sections to train students in the different aspects necessary to be successful in a career in the RMA.
The Junior Officer School is oriented towards tactics and the necessary skills for working with NCOs.
The Senior Officer School provides lessons about operational issues and working well with both higher and lower echelon elements.
The General Officer School teaches the student leadership and management methodologies to command large unit tactics and strategies.
Royal Manticoran Marine Corps Main Line Department
Following the Intro to TRMN 1, 2, 3 courses are a series of four RMMC schools: Enlisted, Warrant Officer, Jr./Sr. Officer, and General Officer. The courses are designed to test a candidate’s knowledge on issues pertaining to the TRMN, the Honorverse, and military history. They are also designed to help develop management and leadership skills that will help an NCO in leading a squad, commanding a platoon, and being the commanding officer of a battalion, regiment, or expeditionary force.
Enlisted School
The Enlisted School courses are designed to familiarize students with the basic history and operations of
the RMMC and warfare in general, along with other information dealing with aspects of military life. In
later courses, the basics of leadership and management are covered.

General Officer School
The General Officer School is a challenging set of courses that assess an officer’s ability to provide well-thought-out and reasoned answers to some of the hardest questions faced during operations planning.
The Staff Officer Training Center provides highly specific training for those who aspire to be a Staff Officer, General Staff Officer, and/or Joint Task Force Staff Officer. While these courses are primarily designed for both Army and Marine Corps personnel, staff officer training is ubiquitous and is available to TRMN members of any branch who seek to obtain further training in this specialized area and who meet the course prerequisites.
↑ 3.03.1NOTE: The -1005 course is the capstone course for both the RMA and RMMC General Officer course sequences. For administrative purposes it carries RMMC numbering, but is designed to be the final course in the RMA sequence as well.
