HMLAC Grimalkin (LAC-002) was a Shrike-B-class Light Attack Craft of the Tenth Fleet. Her crew was later upgraded to form the Roland-class destroyer HMS Bedivere (DD-486), and subsequently the Star Knight-class heavy cruiser HMS Merlin (CA-270).
History
Grimalkin was commissioned effective 28 February 2012, under the authority of the Third Space Lord, as a Shrike-B-class Light Attack Craft assigned to the Tenth Fleet.[1] Lieutenant, s.g. Christopher Beilby was assigned as her first Commanding Officer.[2]
Grimalkin was subsequently upgraded to the Roland-class destroyer HMS Bedivere (DD-486), and later to the Star Knight-class heavy cruiser HMS Merlin (CA-270).
