Where can I learn about an individual chapter withing Tenth Fleet's Order of Battle?

The best place to start is to visit the specific page within Tenth Fleet's Order of Battle page. Our chapters are organized into different "Ships" of various sizes, "Marine Detachments" as part of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps.

Are there dues to be a member of Tenth Fleet/The Royal Manticoran Fan Association?

No, there are no dues or membership fee to become a member of Tenth Fleet and The Royal Manticoran Navy Fan Association (TRMN).

Do I need to be a member of the military to join or be a member?

No. Many of our members are active duty military, or retired, but military service is not required to join or be a member of any Fleet within The Royal Manticoran Navy Fan Association (TRMN).

Do I need to buy a uniform or anything else to join?

Uniforms are entirely optional, though many members enjoy creating their own uniforms to wear. When volunteering at a fan/recruiting table at an event in which there is participation by The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc., there is a minimum dress code.

Where are the different Tenth Fleet chapters located?

Tenth Fleet has chapters covering the West coast of the U.S.; specifically in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, and Hawaii.

What kinds of things does Tenth Fleet do?

There is a great deal to do when joining a chapter with TRMN. Besides a substantial Testing system from BuTrain, members attend conventions, host presentations on various topics, and more. Different chapters within Tenth Fleet set up their own activities, which included a lunch or dinner meet-up, museum visits, gaming (eg tabletop, RPGs, MMORPGs), orienteering, and more. In fact, many of the activities are part of TRMN's Grand Alliance Unit Excellence Program (GAUEP).

I want to start a chapter. How do I do that?

Contact the Bureau of Ships (BuShips) to open up a conversation about starting a new chapter. You may also review the Tenth Fleet's wiki pages on Chapters, the Bureau of Ships, and the process of commissioning a chapter.

I'm not in the area Tenth Fleet encompasses. Can I still join somehow?

Is Tenth Fleet the same as Talbott Fleet?

Yes, it is. Talbott Fleet is simply Tenth Fleet's nickname. The complete of numbered Fleets (and their associated nicknames) can be found on the Fleet page.

What is the Bureau of Training (BuTrain)?

The Bureau of Training (BuTrain) is one of the seven bureaus of the Royal Manticoran Navy. BuTrain holds the responsibility for the training of all members within The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc.; The Academies administered by BuTrain include not only the Royal Manticoran Navy's Saganami Island Naval Academy, but those of TRMN's other service branches.
