OryCon is Portland, Oregon's annual fan-run science fiction and fantasy convention, held since 1979 and organized by Oregon Science Fiction Conventions, Inc. (OSFCI).[1] Editions are numbered by year — OryCon 37 was held in 2015 and OryCon 39 in 2017; with no editions during the 2020–2021 pandemic, OryCon 45 fell in 2025.
Within the Tenth Fleet, OryCon is one of the northern venues for the rotating Tenth Fleet Summit; it hosted the summit in 2025 (OryCon 45). OryCon 39 (2017) additionally hosted a NEXUS Summit — a joint gathering between The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. and STARFLEET, the Star Trek fan association — which was distinct from the Tenth Fleet Summit, held that year at BayCon. Earlier, the superdreadnought RHNS Seljuk and the battlecruiser GNS Madrigal were commissioned at OryCon 37 in 2015.[2] OryCon has also been a designated Tenth Fleet Fleet Event in non-summit years, including OryCon 2019 and OryCon 2024 (designated by Orders:Tenth Fleet Order 2405-01).
