{{policy}}
A '''category sort key''' controls where a page appears in the alphabetical listing of a category.

By default a page sorts under its title. Override this with <code><nowiki>[[Category:Name|sort key]]</nowiki></code> for a single category, or <code><nowiki>{{DEFAULTSORT:sort key}}</nowiki></code> for the whole page &mdash; for example sorting a person under their surname, or an order under its date.
