HMS Intractable (SD-459) was an Invictus-class pod-laying Superdreadnought of the Royal Manticoran Navy, the first of her class to serve in the Tenth Fleet, chartered in Antioch, California. Commissioned in 2016 from the crew of the destroyer HMS Roland, she served in Battle Squadron 2 before her decommissioning on 4 March 2022.
History
Intractable was commissioned on 23 August 2016 in the Tenth Fleet at Antioch, California, under CDR Jack Yeager; her crew had upgraded from the destroyer HMS Roland.[1] That September she formed Battle Division 201 with HMS Medusa as part of the newly established Battle Squadron 2.[2] Command passed to CAPT Sir Thomas Saidak in July 2020,[3] and when Battle Squadron 2 was deactivated that year Intractable was reattached to Task Group 91.1.[4] Intractable was decommissioned on 4 March 2022, her crew transferred to the holding chapter HMSS Talbott.[5]
