HMS Unicorn (CLAC-30) was a Hydra-class LAC Carrier of the Royal Manticoran Navy. Commissioned in 2017 in the Second Fleet at Rochester, Minnesota, she served just over two years before her decommissioning on 17 January 2020.

History

Commissioned in November of 2017, HMS Unicorn served in Second Fleet out of Rochester, Minnesota, initially under the command of CAPTSG Sir Garret Bitker; her initial crew transferred over from HMS Merlin, which was returned to the Active Reserve.[1] Less than a fortnight later, Unicorn was assigned as a unit of Task Group 21.1, replacing the now-decommissioned Merlin.[2]

In early January of 2018, the 30th LAC Wing was stood up, assigning HMLAC Superior, HMLAC Sgian Dubh, and SMLAC Arminius to Unicorn[3]; later in May of that same year, command shifted to the then-COLAC, Captain (JG) Jeremy Kittleson.[4]

HMS Unicorn was decommissioned on 17 January 2020, her crew transferred to HMSS Greenwich.[5]
