TenthFleet:Posting news
This guide shows you how to post a Fleet News item. News items appear automatically on the Main Page and on TenthFleet:News, so you never edit those pages by hand. You just create the news article and the feeds pick it up.
Step by step
- Create a page titled
TenthFleet:News/followed by your headline, for exampleTenthFleet:News/2026 Run for the Cats. - Open with the {{News}} template, filling in the date, author, and an optional source link.
- Write the article body underneath.
- Close with {{News end}}.
- Save. The date you set drives both the article header and the feed ordering, so there is nothing else to do.
The skeleton
{{News|date=1 July 2026|author=Name, Title|source=https://forums.trmn.org/...}}
Your article body goes here. If you are reproducing an official
announcement, copy it word for word.
{{News end}}
No category needed
The {{News}} template adds the news category and the sort date for you. You do not add a category tag or a sort key by hand.

Where it shows up
The four most recent items appear on the Main Page. The full list lives on TenthFleet:News. Drafts written on a personal or sandbox page will not appear in either feed, which is by design.
